Older broadband runs fibre to the green cabinet in your street, then copper telephone wire the rest of the way. Copper slows the signal down over distance. FTTP replaces that last stretch with fibre, so the speed you pay for arrives at your desk.

What is FTTP?
FTTP stands for fibre to the property, also called full fibre or FTTH. It means fibre optic cable runs all the way from the network into your building, with no copper telephone wire on the line, so it is far faster and more reliable than older broadband.
What is the difference between FTTP and FTTC?
FTTC, fibre to the cabinet, runs fibre to the green street cabinet and copper wire from there to your building, which limits speeds to around 80 Mbps and slows down the further you are from the cabinet. FTTP runs fibre all the way in, with speeds from 115 Mbps up to 1 Gbps.
How much does business FTTP cost?
Our full fibre plans are £45.99 a month for 115 Mbps, £59.99 for 550 Mbps and £64.99 for 1 Gbps, all excluding VAT. Installation is free on a 24-month contract or £150 on 12 months, and a static IP is included.

How long does FTTP installation take?
Most installations need a single engineer visit. We book it for you when you order and confirm the date. Some buildings need extra work to bring the fibre in, and we let you know if that applies.
Do I need a phone line for full fibre?
No. FTTP carries data only, so there is no phone line to pay for. Your calls move onto a cloud phone system over the same connection, which also keeps you ready for the analogue switch-off.
What happens during the installation?
An engineer brings the fibre into your building and fits a small fibre box on the wall, near a power socket. We then set up your router and static IP and check the line is ready for calls and cloud apps.
What if full fibre is not available yet?
We can connect you now with SoGEA at £42.99 a month or 5G broadband at £30 a month, and let you know as soon as full fibre reaches your address so you can upgrade.
Is a static IP included?
Yes. Every full fibre plan we supply comes with a static IP at no extra cost.
Is full fibre good enough, or do I need a leased line?
Full fibre suits most offices. A leased line makes sense when the connection must never slow down, you need the same speed for uploads as downloads, or you need guaranteed fix times in writing.
