What you get with an ATS leased line

A leased line gives your business a private, uncontended connection built for cloud platforms, internet phones and heavy data, from £195 a month excluding VAT. Because we are an IT support company as well as a connectivity provider, the line comes with people who also understand everything plugged into it.

Dedicated bandwidth

A connection that is yours alone, with no contention or slowdown at peak times.

Symmetrical speeds

Matching upload and download speeds up to 10Gbps for cloud, voice and large transfers.

Business SLA

A service level agreement with target availability and defined fix times, set out in your quote.

Monitored and supported

Proactive monitoring and priority support from the same team that provides our IT support.

Scalable bandwidth

Capacity that scales with your business, without ripping and replacing.

Failover options

Add a backup connection so your business stays online if the main line has a problem.

How getting a leased line works

Most of the time on a leased line order is the carrier’s survey and build, which is why the installation timeline is in your quote from the start. Published UK guides put a typical installation at 30 to 90 working days, and our leased line cost guide explains what can add time.

01

Tell us where

Send us the address and what the line needs to carry. We check which carriers can reach your building.

02

Get your quote

You get the monthly price, speed and SLA options and the installation timeline in writing, before you commit.

03

Survey and build

Once you order, the carrier surveys the route and builds the line. We manage the process and keep you informed throughout.

04

Live and supported

We move your network across and then support the line alongside your IT, WiFi and phones, with one team to call.

How much does a leased line cost?

Our business leased lines start from £195 a month, excluding VAT. The exact price depends on your address, the speed you need, which carriers reach your building and the length of the contract, so every quote is worked out for your site.

For comparison, published UK price guides put a 100Mbps line at about £200 to £400 a month and a 1Gbps line at about £350 to £700 a month, excluding VAT, on a three-year contract. Our guide to leased line costs covers installation, excess construction charges and what to check in any quote.

What an ATS leased line quote includes
In your quoteWhat you get
Monthly priceFrom £195 a month, excluding VAT, depending on your address, speed and contract length
SpeedUp to 10Gbps, with the same upload and download speed
Service level agreementTarget availability and defined fix times, with the options set out for you to compare
InstallationThe installation timeline in writing, before you commit
FailoverOptional backup connection to keep you online if the main line has a problem

All prices exclude VAT. Every leased line is priced for its address, so the figure in your quote is the one that counts.

Do you need a leased line?

Not every business does. Full fibre broadband is fast and far cheaper, and we supply both, so we will tell you which one fits rather than sell you the more expensive option.

The difference is that a leased line is dedicated to you, uploads as fast as it downloads and comes with a business SLA. Full fibre is shared, usually uploads more slowly and is repaired on broadband terms.

A leased line makes sense when

  • Losing the connection would stop the whole business, not just slow it down
  • Your phones and key systems run over the internet
  • You upload a lot: cloud backups, large files or many video calls at once
  • Many people share one connection, or you link several sites together

Not sure? Tell us how your team works and we will give you a straight answer.

Full fibre broadband is usually enough when

  • Your team is small and mainly uses email and web apps
  • A short outage would be inconvenient rather than costly
  • Full fibre is already available at your address
  • You add a 4G or 5G backup for resilience

FAQ

Business leased lines: common questions

A leased line is a private fibre connection between your premises and the internet that nobody else shares. You get the speed you pay for in both directions, all day, backed by a business service level agreement with defined fix times.

Our leased lines start from £195 a month, excluding VAT. Your exact price depends on your address, speed and contract length. Published UK price guides put 100Mbps at about £200 to £400 a month and 1Gbps at about £350 to £700 a month, excluding VAT. Our leased line cost guide explains the full picture.

It varies by site and carrier. Published UK guides put a typical installation at 30 to 90 working days, and sites that need new construction can take longer. Your quote sets out the installation timeline, and we manage the process and keep you informed throughout.

Our leased lines go up to 10Gbps, with the same upload and download speed. We will recommend a speed based on how your team actually uses the connection, so you do not pay for capacity you will not use.

Your line comes with a business service level agreement with defined fix times, and you can add a failover connection so your business stays online while it is fixed. You call us, not a carrier’s queue.

It is worth it when losing the connection would stop the business, when your phones and key systems run over the internet, or when you upload a lot of data. If not, full fibre broadband with a 4G or 5G backup is often better value, and we supply both.

A leased line is dedicated to your business, has matching upload and download speeds and comes with a business SLA. Full fibre broadband is shared with other premises, usually uploads more slowly than it downloads, and costs far less.

Yes. We are an IT support company first, so the same team can look after your network, WiFi, phones, computers and Microsoft 365. See our business IT support, from £30 per user per month, excluding VAT.
