Free IT Security Review

Twelve minutes. A written report. Nothing on your systems is touched.

You list the systems your business runs and answer plain-English questions about how they are controlled and protected. We turn that into a report with a red, amber and green rating for every area and a prioritised list of what to fix first.

  • 1

Answer as the business sees it. “Not sure” is a useful answer and is scored as a gap worth knowing about.

  • 2

Best done by whoever knows your IT arrangements, with a director on hand for the ownership questions.

  • 3

Your report is emailed to you as a PDF and a copy comes to us, so your free walkthrough call is prepared before we speak.

Why administrator access is the thing to check first

Most small business security problems are not sophisticated attacks. They are ordinary arrangements that were never tidied up: an ex-employee who still holds the Microsoft 365 global administrator account, a supplier you stopped working with two years ago who still controls the domain, a shared login that half the office knows. None of it shows up until it matters, and by then the person holding the keys may not be taking your calls.

This review starts by asking you to list the systems your business actually depends on, then asks a simple question about each one: who holds the administrator account? That single answer, repeated across your whole estate, usually tells you more than any scan would.

What the review covers

Alongside the systems register, the review asks about domain and tenant ownership, multi-factor authentication, leaver processes, cyber security and email fraud, backup and restore testing, devices and remote access, and your Cyber Essentials position. It also scores you against the five Cyber Essentials controls, which is the UK government-backed baseline most insurers and larger customers now expect.

What you get

A written report you can download as a PDF, with a red, amber and green rating for every area, a table showing who controls each of your systems, and a prioritised list of what to fix first. Every item says what fixing it involves and whether it is something you can do yourselves, and a fair number of them are. If you would like a hand with the rest, you can book a free IT assessment with our team.

It is a review based on your answers, not a scan or a penetration test. No access to your systems is needed to complete it.
