OUR POSITIONING
A proactive IT partner for modern nursery environments
The modern nursery runs on technology that quietly supports safeguarding, parent communication and operational continuity every day. We partner with nursery managers, owners and operational leads to build environments that are stable, secure and well-governed, not constantly firefighting.
Our role is consultative and long-term: hardened Microsoft 365, calm day-to-day technology, resilient WiFi, managed devices and a support model that flexes around the nursery day rather than against it.
Operational reliability
Admin systems, WiFi and core technology engineered to behave consistently, day after day, term after term.
Safeguarding-aware support
All change, access and device policy decisions are made through a safeguarding lens, not a generic IT one.
Secure parent data
Structured Microsoft 365 governance, access controls and data handling that aligns with GDPR and safeguarding expectations.
THE REALITY IN MOST NURSERIES
Where IT quietly impacts safeguarding, communication and operational continuity
Most nurseries and childcare providers we meet aren’t looking for cheaper IT. They’re looking for a partner that quietly removes the operational drag, unreliable WiFi, ageing devices, ungoverned Microsoft 365 tenants and reactive support that only shows up when something has already broken.
Practical IT support for nurseries isn’t about adding complexity. It is about creating secure, stable and well-managed environments that support safeguarding, communication and day-to-day operations.

Safeguarding & access control
Filtering gaps, shared sign-ins and weak access policies that quietly create safeguarding risk across nursery sites.
Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace governance
Default tenants leaking data via over-shared files, legacy auth and unmanaged guest or parent access.
WiFi reliability
Office dead-spots, peak-time congestion and ageing access points that disrupt parent communication and admin work.
Phishing & ransomware
Nurseries handle sensitive parent and child data, making them a target for email-based attacks and fraud.
Backup & recovery uncertainty
Backups assumed but rarely tested, leaving children’s records, Microsoft 365 and admin data at risk.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
A complete managed service for your nursery environment, under one accountable partner
One structured monthly service designed to keep nursery teams connected, productive and protected. Support is a fixed monthly price from £30 per user plus VAT, and our IT support pricing is published in full. Settings handling children’s records typically sit on our Complete IT and security package. We give the same support to schools and healthcare providers.

Unlimited UK helpdesk
Senior engineers covering remote and on-site support for nursery managers, admin staff and operational teams, built around the nursery day.
Microsoft 365 Administration
Tenant governance, licensing, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange and OneDrive, administered end-to-end for nursery operations and parent communication.
Safeguarding & access management
Filtering, conditional access, identity policies and reviewable audit trails aligned to safeguarding and GDPR expectations.
Device management
Intune-based provisioning, encryption, policy enforcement and a clear lifecycle plan across admin laptops, tablets and shared devices.
Environment monitoring
Networks, endpoints and Microsoft 365 health watched continuously by our operations team, nursery sites never invisible.
Managed endpoint security
EDR / MDR across admin devices and shared endpoints, with active threat hunting and response.
Backup & recovery

FAQ
IT & cyber questions nursery leaders ask us most
Modern nurseries need more than a helpdesk. They need a managed partner who governs Microsoft 365, supports safeguarding through filtering and identity policies, runs layered cyber security, maintains tested backups, supports parent communication systems and WiFi, and provides operational leadership to nursery managers and owners. Reactive break-fix support is no longer enough: safeguarding, GDPR and operational continuity all assume a proactive, documented operating model behind your IT.
Yes. We deliver full Microsoft 365 administration for nurseries and childcare providers, including tenant governance, identity and Conditional Access, Teams, SharePoint structure, OneDrive, Exchange, licensing and independent backup. We harden tenants against the most common risks: legacy authentication, oversharing, weak guest controls and unmanaged staff accounts.
Start with the controls that most reduce risk: enforce MFA on every staff and admin account, deploy managed EDR on devices, lock down Microsoft 365 with Conditional Access and modern authentication, run independent backups of your tenant, and align the environment with Cyber Essentials. Layer in staff awareness, a documented incident response plan and quarterly reviews of identity and tenant risk. ATS delivers all of this within a single managed service.
Yes. Safeguarding is built into our operating model, not bolted on. We review filtering, conditional access, identity policies, device baselines and audit trails through a safeguarding lens. Every change is assessed for access risk, data handling and alignment with early years safeguarding expectations.
Yes. We design, install and support business-grade WiFi and networking across nursery sites, including separate staff, guest and parent access, resilient broadband with failover where continuity matters, and monitoring so problems are picked up before staff report them. Coverage is planned around how the building is actually used, including outdoor areas and rooms that WiFi struggles to reach.
Yes. We manage admin laptops, tablets, shared devices and reception technology through Intune-based provisioning, encryption, policy enforcement and a planned lifecycle. The goal is a calm, consistent experience for nursery staff, not constant rebuilding and reactive fixes.
Yes. We engineer environments for consistent hybrid working, secure remote access, Intune-managed devices, Teams and SharePoint structures that work the same way whether staff are on site, at home or moving between nursery locations.
Our average response time is under 15 minutes across all support channels. 98% of issues are resolved on first contact by our UK-based engineers. Critical incidents, including suspected breaches or major outages, are escalated immediately under documented major-incident procedures.
Core support is £30 to £48 per user per month, and Complete IT and security is £55 to £90 per user per month, both on a rolling annual agreement. Ad hoc work is £100 an hour, £340 a half day or £650 a day. All prices exclude VAT, and the exact figure depends on your staff numbers, number of settings and the level of security you need. The full breakdown is on our IT support pricing page.
Our helpdesk is open from 9am to 5.30pm on working days, and urgent out-of-hours support is available when you need it. Monitoring runs around the clock.
The EYFS statutory framework in force from 1 September 2026 says a setting’s safeguarding policy must cover “how mobile phones, cameras and other electronic devices with imaging and sharing capabilities are used in the setting”. The new frameworks also ask providers to have regard to screen use guidance for early years settings. We manage nursery tablets and laptops centrally, so photos stay on approved devices and storage, lost devices can be locked or wiped, and you can show how it works.
The Ofsted early years inspection toolkit expects settings to “ensure that the setting’s information systems safeguard children effectively from online harm”. In practice that means web filtering on the nursery network, managed devices, separate guest WiFi for visitors and parents, and staff accounts protected with MFA. We set those up and review them with you.
Most do. GOV.UK says organisations processing personal data must pay a data protection fee to the ICO unless they are exempt, and that it is £52 or £78 for most organisations. If a personal data breach is likely to put people at risk, it must be reported to the ICO no later than 72 hours after you become aware of it. Nurseries hold children’s records, so we protect them with MFA, encrypted devices and tested backups.
Common. In the Government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025/2026, 43% of businesses and 28% of charities reported a cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months, and phishing was by far the most common type. That is why we start with MFA, email filtering, staff awareness and backups you can restore.
